Servings

1 cup jam

Total time

30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 & 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1 tbsp chia
  • 1 tbs honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 & 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1 tbsp chia
  • 1 tbs honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice

Method

  1. Blend all the ingredients together except chia.
  2. Add the chia seeds and mix well.
  3. Transfer it into a jar and let sit in the fridge overnight.
  4. Chop the strawberries, add the lemon juice and honey or maple syrup and put in a medium saucepan over low heat.
  5. Cook until the strawberries become tender and juicy, around 5-10 min.
  6. Mash the fruit with the back of a spatula or a potato masher, leaving it as smooth or as lumpy as you like, or if you want a perfectly smooth jam blend it with an immersion blender.
