I’ve been quite busy this period, so I just needed to relax, even from the kitchen. So I’m not sharing any cookie, cake or comfort meal recipe, but I’m going to the basics, GRANOLA. Granola is basi…

5 cups

Total time

30 minutes

  • 4 cups old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup pumpkin seeds
  • ⅔ cup chopped Walnuts
  • ½ cup Raisins
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • ⅓ cup olive oil ((divided))
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon - optional

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
  2. Line a large baking pan with baking paper.
  3. In a big bowl mix oats, nuts, seeds, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. If the honey is not runny, warm it till it reaches a pourable consistency.
  5. Pour the honey and the olive oil over the oat mixture and mix well until all oats, nuts, and seeds are coated.
  6. Pour the granola into the baking pan and spread it in an even layer.
  7. Bake until golden brown for 20-25 minutes. After the 15th minute, you should stir it each 5 minutes to avoid burning the granola.
  8. Once you remove it from the oven, add the raisins and mix well.
  9. Let the granola cool completely in the pan, then put it into jars.
  10. Keep in airtight jars for up to 3 weeks.
