Hot Spiced Cranberry Cocktail
This Holiday Spiced Cranberry Cocktail can be made non-alcoholic or spiked with rum! It is made with real cranberries and infused with orange and cinnamon.
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 6 cups water
- 0.75 cup maple syrup
- 8 whole allspice berries
- 4 cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 strips orange zest
- 1 star anise
- Add the cranberries and water to a blender. Blend on high until the cranberries are pulverized and well mixed into the water.
Pour into a Dutch oven and add in the remaining ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
Simmer for 60 minutes. Strain the mixture through cheesecloth or a nut milk bag and discard the pulp and spices. Serve warm.
