Power balls are an amazing choice for the afternoon snack or after lunch sweet treat. That’s really cool to have a jar of power balls in the fridge and reach for them after lunch instead of dessert…

Ingredients

  • 15 dates (pits removed and soaked in hot water for 10-15 minutes)
  • ⅓ cup Raisins
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbs cocoa
  • 2 tbs Tahini
  • cocoa powder, matcha, chokeberry powder, coconut to roll the power balls (optional)


Method

  1. Remove dates from the soaking water.
  2. Combine dates, raisins, sunflower seeds and tahini in a food processor and blend well.
  3. Add oatmeal and cocoa and blend again.
  4. Remove the mixture from the food processor and start forming balls in the size of a tablespoon.
  5. Roll in cocoa, coconut, matcha or chokeberry powder if you like.
  6. These power balls keep very well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  7. They’re perfect for children lunchboxes, hiking or picnics.
