Ingredients

  • 2½ cups flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ⅓ tbsp brown sugar
  • 200 g butter at room temperature
  • 1 egg & 1 egg yolk at room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1½ cup chocolate chips
  • of salt


Method

  1. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl cream butter and both sugars together. Add the egg and the egg yolk and beat well. Add vanilla extract and mix.
  4. Fold the dry ingredients into wet ingredients. At the end add the chocolate chips.
  5. Use an ice-cream scooper to scoop the dough. Place the cookies in the freezer to chill for approximately 20-30 min.
  6. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-14 min (until golden brown). Cool for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
