Healthy Cilantro Rice made with brown rice, cilantro and walnuts.

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 cup cilantro (leaves)
  • roasted chickpeas (Green raw , grated)
  • 2 chilies (Green (adjust as per taste))
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsps Jaggery ((adjust as per taste))
  • 2 tbsps walnuts (, chopped)
  • 2 tbsps shallots (, finely chopped)
  • to taste Salt


  1. Cook brown rice according to package directions (usually 1:1¾, rice:water ratio). Set aside.
  2. Grind cilantro, green raw mango, chilies, cumin seeds, jaggery and salt into a paste.
  3. Add the cilantro paste, walnuts and shallots to rice. Mix well and serve!!
