This super simple but incredibly tasty pâté will go down a treat with fish lovers!

  • 240 g tinned sardines in sunflower oil
  • 2 heaped tbsp low fat cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp sunflower oil from the tin
  • 1 squeeze lemon juice
  • 1 tsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 fresh coriander (chopped)
  • salt and pepper (seasoning )


  1. Flake the sardines up with a knife and fork and take any visible bones out.
  2. Put all the ingredients into a blender and whizz up until you have a smooth consistency.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, and taste.
  4. Try serving them in the tins for that rustic look.
  5. Serve on sourdough toast and keep in the fridge and use within two days. Enjoy!
