Ready for a snack attack? Today's version of a snack attack is actually pretty darn good-for-you.  Which in this house means it can also be equally delicious.  Yay! They're sweet potato wedges that are spiced

  • 5 medium sweet potatoes, cut into 1-inch wedges
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • ¼-½ tsp. coarse salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¾ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp Garam Masala
  • ¼ tsp ground turmeric
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • coarse salt and ground black pepper (to taste)


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place sweet potato wedges on a greased baking sheet and toss with oil, salt and pepper. Choose a spice combination (Mexican, Indian or Italian) and whisk together in a bowl until combined. Add spice mixture to oiled sweet potato wedges and toss to coat. Roast 35-40 minutes, until soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. While sweet potatoes roast, whisk together aioli ingredients until combined. Refrigerate until ready to use. Serve spice-roasted sweet potato wedges with garlic aioli for dipping.
